러시아어를 처음 접하는 학부생을 위한 러시아어 기본 문법 및 회화강좌로서 러시아어를 실생활 및 사회, 문화적 맥락 안에서 적절하게 구사할 수 있도록 하는 데에 주안점을 두며 문법과 회화의 조화로운 습득을 궁극적인 목표로 한다. 본 강좌는 기본적으로 언어 강좌이지만 러시아의 지리, 역사, 문화, 문학, 사회, 경제 전반에 관한 종합적 정보가 자연스럽게 언어와 함께 소개될 예정이다. 학기말에는 학생들이 배운 내용과 창의적인 협동과정을 통해 그룹단위의 짧은 연극 (Skit)을 보여주어야 한다. 

Designed for students who have never learned Russian before, the course aims to teach students elementary Russian grammar and vocabulary. By taking this course students can carry on basic conversation adequately in everyday social and cultural contexts. This course is basically language course, but other related knowledge, such as Russian geography, history, culture, society and geopolitical information, is well integrated with course materials. At the end of the semester, students are required to act out short skits in groups based on all course materials and creative collaboration.

 F23.102 초급러시아어 2 (Elementary Russian 2) 3-3-1

<초급러시아어1>을 수강한 학부생이나 고등학교 때 러시아어를 접하기는 했지만 초보적 수준만 이수한 학부생들을 위한 강좌로 러시아어의 격 체계, 불규칙 동사활용을 완벽하게 활용할 수 있도록 하고 러시아어문법의 어려운 부분인 동사의 상이나 무인칭구문이나 피동구문, 재귀동사 구문 등에 대해서도 배우며 나아가 다양한 종류의 초보적 텍스트를 독해할 수 있도록 하고 일상적 주제에 대한 회화나 작문도 가능하게 하는 것을 목표로 한다. 

This course is for students who have taken Beginning Russian1 or those who have been taught elementary Russian grammar. The course enables students to master Russian case system and irregular verbal conjugation. The most difficult Russian grammar, such as verbal aspect, impersonal sentence, passive sentence, constructions using reflexive verbs will be included in this course. In this course, students are expected to read basic Russian prose and dialogues, as well as compose short texts and carry on everyday conversations.

입문 단계의 초급러시아어 1, 2의 연장선상에서 중급러시아어1 강좌는 학생들이 실생활의 간단한 실용 러시아어에 필요한 초급 문법이나 어휘의 토대 위에 난해한 어휘나 구문, 표현 등을 익혀 고급 문체의 텍스트를 이해하고 다양한 주제에 관해 교양있는 대화체 러시아어를 구사하며 메모, 편지, 일기 등을 쓸 수 있도록 가르칠 것이다. 이 강좌는 나아가 모든 발화, 문학 장르의 기본 러시아어 텍스트를 강독할 수 있는 기술을 가르칠 것이고 학생들이 러시아 문화, 역사, 문학 등에 관한 호기심과 애정을 가질 수 있도록 도울 것이다. 

As a continuation of Elementary Russian 1 and 2, the course is designed to teach advanced and complicated grammar and vocabulary and enable students to understand written style texts, constructions and expressions. In addition the goal of this course is to enable students to carry on cultured conversation in Russian on a variety  of topics and write notes, letters, or keep a journal in Russian. Also the course offers skills to read basic Russian texts in all speech or literary genres. The course helps students to develop a curiosity about and love for Russian culture, history, and literature

본 강좌는 중급러시아어1의 연장선상에서 학생들이 실생활의 간단한 실용 러시아어에 필요한 초급 문법이나 어휘의 토대 위에 난해한 어휘나 구문, 표현 등을 익혀 고급 문체의 텍스트를 이해하고 다양한 주제에 관해 교양있는 대화체 러시아어를 구사하며 메모, 편지, 일기 등을 쓸 수 있도록 가르칠 것이다. 이 강좌는 나아가 모든 발화, 문학 장르의 기본 러시아어 텍스트를 강독할 수 있는 기술을 가르칠 것이고 학생들이 러시아 문화, 역사, 문학 등에 관한 호기심과 애정을 가질 수 있도록 도울 것이다. 

As a continuation of Intermediate Russian 1,  the course is designed to teach advanced and complicated grammar and vocabulary and enable students to understand written style texts, constructions and expressions. F23.304 러시아어 듣기와 쓰기 (Russian Listening and Writing) 3-3-0

이 과목은 중급러시아어 수준의 문법을 학습한 학생들을 대상으로 제2외국어 학습자가 습득에 어려움을 겪는 대표적인 이해 영역인 ‘듣기’를 중심으로 표현영역인 ‘쓰기’ 문장 연습을 병행함으로써 학습자의 언어 능력 향상을 위한 통합적 언어 학습을 목표로 한다.

This course aims to provide a language learning experience, targeting students who have an intermediate level of Russian grammar. The primary focus is on improving listening skills, an area where second language learners often face significant challenges. Simultaneously, the course includes writing exercises to enhance sentence construction. By combining these two areas, the course seeks to significantly improve students' practical communication skills in Russian.

F23.305 미디어로 배우는 러시아어 (Learning Russian Through Media) 3-3-0

이 강좌는 중고급 수준의 러시아어 실력을 가진 학생들이 다양한 멀티미디어 매체를 적극적으로 활용하여 생생한 러시아어 사용 사례를 중심으로 러시아어를 학습해 나가도록 설계되었다. 기존 교과서 중심의 문어체 위주 학습을 통해 기본 문법과 어휘를 습득한 학생들이 러시아 매체에서 제공하는 다양한 콘텐츠를 접함으로써 러시아 사회 문화의 실제 맥락 속에서 러시아어를 더 잘 이해하고 구사할 수 있게 된다. 나아가 본 강좌는 학생들이 러시아의 문화, 사회, 정치, 경제 등 동시대적 이슈에 대한 통합적 이해를 심화하는 기회를 제공하고자 한다.  

The course Learning Russian Through Media is designed for students with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Russian to actively engage with a variety of multimedia sources and develop their language skills through exposure to authentic, real-world usage. Building on their knowledge of basic grammar and vocabulary acquired in textbook-based, written-language-oriented courses, students will explore a wide range of content drawn from Russian media. This approach enhances their ability to comprehend and use Russian in actual sociocultural contexts. In addition, the course aims to deepen students’ integrated understanding of contemporary issues in Russian culture, society, politics, and economics.

F29.128 초급폴란드어 (Elementary Polish) 3-3-0

이 강의는 폴란드어에 대한 지식이 거의 없거나 전혀 없는 학생들을 대상으로 설계되었다. 기본 문법, 어휘, 발음 및 회화 능력을 포함한 폴란드어의 기초를 소개하는 한편, 폴란드어로 읽기, 쓰기, 듣기, 말하기의 의사소통 능력을 발전시키는 동시에 폴란드 문화의 다양한 측면을 익히는 것을 목표로 하고 있다. 본 과정을 마친 후에는 자신, 가족, 대학 생활, 일상 활동, 관심사, 계획, 선호도 등에 대해 기초적인 수준으로 의사소통할 수 있게 될 것으로 기대한다. 또한 음식, 쇼핑, 건강, 학교, 여행 등과 관련된 기본적인 사회적 활동을 수행할 수 있게 될 것이다. 

This course is designed for students with little or no knowledge of the Polish language. It introduces the basics of Polish, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and conversation skills, while aiming to develop communicative abilities in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in Polish, as well as familiarizing students with various aspects of Polish culture. Upon completing the course, students are expected to be able to communicate at a basic level about themselves, their family, college life, daily activities, interests, plans, and preferences. They will also be able to handle basic social transactions related to food, shopping, health, school, travel, and more.

C10.107 도스토예프스키와 톨스토이 (Dostoevsky and Tolstoy) 3-3-0 (*권장과목)

러시아 비판적 리얼리즘을 대표하는 도스토예프스키와 톨스토이는 인간의 본질과 인류의 운명에 도덕적이고, 윤리적이고, 종교적인 관점을 부여하면서 근대 문명을 비판하고, 정신적인 위기들을 거치면서 종교에 귀의하는 과정을 통해 인간 존재와 정신의 위대함을 보여주었던 작가들이다. 그들은 동시대를 살면서 같은 주제에 대해 사유하였지만 그 접근 방법과 사유결과는 그들의 전기적 배경만큼이나 상이하였다. 본 교과목에서는 동일 주제에 대한 두 작가의 접근 방법과 그 결과의 차이가 나타나는 양상을 개별 작품들을 중심으로 살펴보면서, 각각의 고유한 문학적, 철학적 특성을 고찰하고 비교할 것이다. 또한 인간과 세계, 신에 대한 이들의 거대담론을 현대적 시점에서 어떻게 이해하고 적용할 것인가에 대해서도 학생들의 토론과 논의를 통해 적극적으로 도모할 것이다.

Dostoevsky and Tolstoy gave moral and religious views to human's nature, mankind's destiny. They criticised on modern civilization and showed greatness of human mentality through a series of events that they were converted to religion after mental crisis. Though Dostoevsky and Tolstoy were contemporaries and thought of same themes, the methods of approach and results were different as their biographical bases. To explain these differences, this course will analyze writers' works and survey their own literary, philosophical characteristics. It is necessary for students to participate in this class by reading papers or free discussions to understand writers' thoughts on human, God and world from contemporary views.

 C10.115 러시아 명작의 이해 (Understandings Russian Masterpieces) 3-3-0

세계문학사에서 커다란 위치를 차지하고 있는 러시아 문학작품들 중 대가들의 작품들의 예술적 구조와 이념, 그리고 그 작품들이 미친 세계문학사적인 영향력을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 여기에는 뿌쉬낀, 도스또옙스키, 똘스또이, 체홉과 같은 작가들과 20세기 작가들의 작품들이 포함될 것이다.

In this course, students will study the literary works of Russia's great authors including 20th-century writers like Pushkin, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, and Chekhov. Students will explore the artistic structures and ideologies within such works as well as their influences on world literature.

C30.149 러시아의 사회와 문화 (Russian Society and Culture) 3-3-0 (*권장과목)

본 과목은 유럽-아시아, 서양-동양을 모두 아우르는 세계에서 가장 넓은 나라인 러시아와 러시아의 사회와 문화를 이해해보고자 개설되었다. 본 과목은 러시아 사회, 역사, 예술, 공간, 의식주 등 러시아인의 공동체와 직결된 핵심적 분야를 폭넓게 다루어 삶의 방식으로서 문화에 대한 이해를 높이고, 러시아인의 삶의 각 분야를 통합적이고 유기적으로 학습하여 사회와 문화에 대한 종합적 이해에 도달하고자 한다. 또한 과거의 박물관적 지식에 치우치지 않고 현재 러시아인들의 일상적 삶의 현상들을 구체적으로 살펴봄으로써 생생하고 역동적인 학습을 유도하고, 러시아의 사회와 문화를 우리의 관점에서 재사유하여 주체적이고 미래지향적인 태도를 함양한다.

This course aims to understand Russia, the world's largest country encompassing Europe-Asia, the West-East, and the society and culture of Russians. This course broadly covers key aspects of Russian society, such as history, art, space, food, and clothing, to enhance understanding of culture as a way of life, and to reach a comprehensive understanding of society and culture through an integrated and organic study of daily life. In addition, it promotes vivid and dynamic learning by specifically exploring the daily lives of contemporary Russians without being biased toward museum-like knowledge of the past, and fosters an independent and future-oriented attitude by encouraging students to reconsider Russian society and culture from their own perspective.
 

E11.210 슬라브 전설과 유산 (Slavic Legends and Legacy) 3-3-0

슬라브어권 및 발칸 지역의 민담 및 전설이 러시아 및 서유럽 문학과 영화에서 재창조되고 변주되어 온 과정을 추적하고, 각 시대의 사회문화적 맥락 속에서 어떻게 변화해 왔는지를 고찰한다. 다양한 문학 작품과 영화를 분석하면서, 타자성, 젠더, 제국주의 등에 대한 주요 문화 담론을 고찰한다. 

The course traces how folktales and legends from Slavic and Balkan regions have been reinvented and reinterpreted in Russian and Western European literature and cinema. It critically examines the evolution of these narratives in relation to shifting socio-cultural and historical conditions. Through critical analysis of literary texts and films, students will engage with major cultural discourses, including concepts of otherness, gender studies, imperial legacies, and postcolonial theory.

100.166 러시아학 입문 (Introduction to Russian Studies) 3-3-0 

러시아 시인 튜체프는 “러시아를 이성으로 이해하는 것은 불가능하다”고 말했다. 윈스턴 처칠 또한 러시아를 가리켜 “불가사의 속의 미스터리로 둘러싸인 수수께끼”라 했다. 무엇이 러시아를 이해할 수 없는 것으로 만드는가? 이 수업은 여전히 우리에게 낯선 러시아와 러시아인들의 정체성을 이해하고, 그들의 역사와 사회와 문화의 본질에 다가가기 위한 첫걸음이다. 러시아는 어떠한 역사적 과정을 통해 형성되었으며, 그것이 현대 러시아 사회와 문화에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는가? 러시아 혁명과 사회주의 연방의 탄생, 페레스트로이카와 소련의 해체, 연방 해체 이후의 문화적 혼란과 새로운 강한 국가주의의 형성에 이르는 독특한 여정 속에서 러시아와 러시아인들은 어떠한 고유한 특성을 드러내고 있는가? 이와 같은 물음에 대한 해답을 모색하고 러시아 어문학을 배우기에 앞서 그에 필요한 러시아와 구소련 지역 전반의 정치, 경제, 역사 및 사회, 문화에 대한 폭넓은 지식을 습득하도록 하는 것이 이 과목의 목표라 할 것이다. 따라서 이 과목은 본격적으로 전공에 진입하기 전에 반드시 수강해야 하는 선수과목이자 학제적 접근에 기반한 교양교육이자 지역연구의 성격을 띤다. 수업은 학생들의 발표와 교수의 강의로 이루어지며 많은 시각 자료들이 활용될 것이다. 

"Russia cannot be understood by reason alone." So believed a 19th-century Russian poet Fedor Tiutchev. We can also remember Winston Churchill`s the famous line regarding Russia, "a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma." What makes Russia and Russian mentality hard to understand? This course is designed as a first step to answer such questions about Russia, Russian civilization and Russian identity and understand their culture and society. This interdisciplinary regional study programme introduces students major in Russian language and literature to wide range of Russian studies including geography, history, politics, economy, sociology and culture of Russia. The major portion of topics will be approached through lectures and presentation of students. Lecture class will be with discussion sections and reading of primary historical texts, works of imaginative literature and art (including film, music, painting, architecture), scholarly articles.

이 교과목은 전공 예약으로 입학한 1학년 학생이나 전공 탐색을 원하는 학부생이 전공에 대한 이해도를 높일 수 있도록 설계되었으며, 러시아 문학 입문으로서의 성격을 지닌다. 수업은 러시아 문학의 정수로 일컬어지는 소설 작품들 중 상대적으로 읽기 쉬운 단편소설들을 다룬다. 교수자의 지도하에 학생들은 단편 규모의 소설 작품을 분석적으로 읽는 방법을 익히며 소설과 인간 삶 사이의 밀접한 관계를 이해하게 되고, 이를 통해 인문학의 한 분야로서 문학이 지니는 본질에 접근하게 된다. 또한 학생들은 텍스트 속에 반영된 러시아적 삶의 주제들을 살펴보는 가운데 러시아성에 대한 질문과 탐색의 계기를 스스로 발견하게 된다.     

This course is intended for first-year students who have declared a major or for undergraduates exploring potential fields of study, with the aim of deepening their understanding of the discipline. It serves as an introduction to Russian literature, focusing on short stories that embody the essence of Russian literary tradition while remaining accessible to read. Under the instructor’s guidance, students will learn to read and analyze short fiction, gaining insight into the close relationship between literature and human experience. Through this process, they engage with the fundamental nature of literature as a core field of the humanities. Throughout the course, students will identify key themes of Russian life reflected in the texts and, in doing so, encounter opportunities to question and explore the meaning of “Russianness.”

러시아 어학개론의 전단계로서 러시아어의 여러 특성들을 세계의 다른 언어들과 비교하여 학습한다. 언어를 통해 러시아문화의 특성도 아울러 살펴본다.

This is a preparatory  course for Introduction to Russian Linguistics. It surveys various characteristics of Russian in comparison to those of other languages. The class will also survey aspects of Russian culture represented in its history and language.

M1242.002700 21세기 러시아문학 (21st-century Russian Literature) 3-3-0

본 교과목은 2000년대 이후 러시아 문학을 통해 현대 러시아 사회의 변화와 문화적 흐름을 탐구한다. 포스트소비에트 정체성, 젠더 갈등, 전쟁, 팬데믹, 기억 등 동시대 러시아의 주요 이슈를 중심으로 사회경제적 혼돈기였던 1990년대 이후의 러시아 사회가 문학 작품들에 어떻게 반영되었는지 살펴본다. 연대기적 문학사 대신 사회·문화적 주제 중심으로 수업을 진행하여 문학을 현실 속에서 이해하도록 한다. 또한 영화, 게임, SNS 등 다양한 매체와의 연관성을 탐색해 21세기 문학의 확장된 의미를 체험한다. 현대 러시아 문학을 통해 오늘의 세계와 우리 사회가 공유하는 문제의식을 함께 사유하는 수업이다.

This course explores the changes and cultural trends of contemporary Russian society through literature produced since the 2000s. Focusing on key issues in post-Soviet Russia, such as identity, gender conflict, war, the pandemic, and memory, the course examines how Russian society, emerging from the social and economic chaos of the 1990s, is reflected in contemporary literature. Rather than following a chronological literary history, the course is organized around social and cultural themes, encouraging students to understand literature within its real-world context. It also investigates the interconnections between literature and various media, including film, video games, and social networks, allowing students to experience the expanded meaning of 21st-century literature. Ultimately, the course invites students to reflect on the shared concerns of today’s world and Korean society through the lens of contemporary Russian literature.

106.240 기초러시아어회화(Beginniner's Russian Conversation) 3-3-0

이 교과목은 러시아어를 처음 접하거나 혹은 아직 초보적인 수준에 있는 학생들이 러시아어의 발음에 익숙해지고 나아가 기초적인 러시아어 회화를 습득할 수 있도록 하는데 중점을 둔다. 원어민 교수는 러시아어를 처음 배우는 학생들이 정확한 러시아어 발음과 억양을 익힐 수 있도록 학생 개개인에게 관심을 쏟을 것이며, 또한 러시아어에 대한 기초적인 문법적 지식도 필요할 때마다 제공할 것이다. 학생들은 소그룹을 설정하여 실생활에서 부딪히는 여러 기본적인 상황을 만들고 실제로 재연해 봄으로써 생생한 러시아어를 반복 연습할 수 있는 기회를 얻을 수 있을 것이다.

This course gives beginning students of Russian an opportunity to develop their basic pronunciation and conversation skills. A native Russian instructor will help students to acquire accurate Russian pronunciation and accent through individual tutoring and provide them with elementary grammar lessons. Students will be given chances to practice vivid, everyday Russian in small groups.

106.243 러시아인의 세계와 언어(Russian Language and Society) 3-3-0 

본 강좌는 러시아어입문(어학과목) 일 년 과정을 마친 전공 학부생을 대상으로 러시아어의 어휘와 문법에 스며들어 있는 문화적 맥락을 소개함으로써 러시아어에 특징적인 어휘와 문법구조의 이해를 돕기 위해 개설된 강좌이다. 본 강좌는 노어노문학과 학부과정 개설 어학 교과목으로서는 처음으로 러시아어에 반영된 비언어적 러시아인의 세계, 즉 사회, 정신, 문화, 역사적 맥락에 초점을 맞추어 설명한다는 점에서, 언어 내적 구조를 대상으로 한 문법기술에 치우친 러시아어학개론이나 러시아어학특강, 혹은 러시아어발달사 과목들과 차별되며 이들 본격적 어학 과목들을 위한 예비적 지식을 위해 필수적인 교과목이다. 본 강좌는 번역으로 이해하기 힘든, 그리고 러시아어에 특징적인 러시아어 어휘, 문장들을 예로 들어가며 그동안 수강생들이 주입식으로 배웠고 또 당연하게 여겨왔던 러시아어 단어, 문장의 구조 혹은 어휘적 의미를 역사적, 문화적, 사회심리학적 배경 및 맥락을 바탕으로 소개할 것이다. 강의주제로는 러시아어의 역사와 현대러시아어의 문체적 차별성의 상관문제, 속담, 민담과 언어, 러시아인의 일상적 삶과 언어, 민족성 및 정서와 언어 등이 포함될 것이다.

The given course is offered mainly to the undergraduate students in the Russian department who have fulfilled Elementary Russian language requirements. This course is designed to introduce deep implications of basic Russian lexical items and productive Russian word formation rules and sentence structure in the context of Russian realia as well as in Russian socio-cultural, historical, cognitive context. The course aims at not so much presenting or describing linguistic theories, as helping students to understand and have a feel for key Russian vocabulary and grammar. Some tentative selected topics to be covered in this course are as follows: stylistics levels in modern Russian, Russian language in proverbs and folktales, Russian language and Russian realia, national character, affect and cognition.
 

106.346 러시아연극 (Russian Theaters) 3-3-0 

본 강좌의 목적은 17세기에서 20세기에 이르기까지 러시아 연극사를 조명하고, 아울러 텍스트로서의 희곡에 대한 분석뿐 아니라 무대에 상연되는 공연예술로서의 연극에 대한 이해를 높이는 것에 있다. 학생들은 면밀한 희곡 분석을 통해 문학 작품으로서 희곡이 갖는 특수성을 이해하고, 학생들이 그룹을 만들어 작품을 직접 상연하는 과정을 통해 다른 예술 장르와는 차별되는 연극의 특성과 재미를 만끽할 수 있을 것이다. 나아가 세계 연극사에서 러시아 연극이 차지하는 위치 또한 조망할 수 있을 것이다.

This course aims at deepening students' understanding of Russian drama through a survey of the history of the Russian theater from the seventeenth to the twentieth century. Students will learn to understand drama in both its written and performed contexts through close readings of dramatic literature; in addition, students will learn the characteristics of drama different from those of other genres by participating in putting plays on the stage. In doing so, students will also have a general view of the Russian theater in the context of the history of world theater.

M1242.002800 유라시아 문화와 사회 (Culture and Society of Eurasia) 3-3-0

본 교과목은 유라시아 지역, 특히 러시아 연방과 과거 소비에트 연방에 속했던 국가와 집단의 사회와 문화를 역사적 관점에서 이해하는 것을 목표로 한다. 주요 대상은 러시아 연방의 자치공화국과 캅카스 이남 3개국, 중앙아시아 5개국, 그리고 동유럽의 우크라이나·벨라루스이다. 1991년 소비에트 연방 붕괴 이후 독자적 민족국가 형성과 정체성 확립을 추진한 이들 국가들은 주체적, 민족주의적 역사 서술과 언어 정책, 제도 개혁을 시도하고 있다. 본 교과목을 수강하는 학생들은 이러한 차원에서 유라시아 사회를 다각적  시각에서 탐구하고, 현재 진행 중인 정체성과 이데올로기적 갈등을 객관적이면서도 비판적으로 분석하게 된다. 

This course aims to understand the societies and cultures of the Eurasian region—particularly the Russian Federation and the states and communities that once belonged to the former Soviet Union—from a historical perspective. The main focus includes the autonomous republics of the Russian Federation, the three Caucasus countries, the five Central Asian countries, as well as Ukraine and Belarus in Eastern Europe. Since the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991, these countries have pursued the formation of independent nation-states and the establishment of their own identities, undertaking efforts in historical narrative, language policy, and institutional reform. Based on these multifaceted perspectives, students will explore Eurasian societies through party-oriented viewpoint, and critically analyze ongoing conflicts of identity and ideology.

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted identity of Russian culture through three key themes that have shaped its historical and cultural development: Icon, Tsar, and Revolution. Each theme represents a central dimension of Russian civilization—the Russian Orthodox faith as its spiritual and cultural foundation (Icon); political authority and autocracy as dominant forces in shaping historical reality (Tsar); and social upheaval and ideological conflict as driving forces of transformation (Revolution).
By examining how these themes have influenced literature, art, everyday life, philosophy, and ideology, the course offers an integrated perspective on Russian cultural traditions. Students will explore how these elements intersect across genres and disciplines, gaining a deeper appreciation of the diversity, complexity, and interrelationships that define Russian culture, as well as an informed understanding of its cultural and spiritual essence.

본 교과목은 러시아의 대표적 연기이론가 스타니슬랍스키의 연기법을 이용해 자신의 감정과 사고, 신체 반응을 인식하고 자연스럽게 표현하는 실습 수업이다. 스타니슬랍스키의 연기법(에튜드)이란 주어진 상황 하에서 정서적 기억을 통해 심리적 진실을 즉흥적 장면 연기로 표현하는 훈련술을 말한다. 학생들은 자전적 일화를 토대로 2인 즉흥극을 완성하여 기말에 발표를 한다. 이 활동을 통해 학생들은 자기 자신에 대한 관찰, 상황에 대한 정확한 이해, 순발력과 적응력, 신체표현, 소통과 공감, 협업 등 다양한 지적, 예술적, 신체적 능력을 향상시킬 수 있고, 자기성찰을 통한 예술적 자아의 확장과 내적 성장을 이루게 된다. 

This course utilizes Stanislavsky's etude training method to recognize and naturally express one's emotions, thoughts, and physical reactions. Etude is a training technique that involves improvising a scene, using emotional memory to express psychological truth within a given situation. Students complete a two-person etude based on an autobiographical episode and present it at the end of the semester. Through this activity, students can develop various intellectual, artistic, and physical abilities, such as self-observation, accurate understanding of situations, quick thinking and adaptability, physical expression, communication and empathy, and collaboration, and achieve artistic expansion and inner growth through self-reflection.

The innovative Soviet films of the early 20th century, and the Montage theory established by Eisenstein, have had a profound impact on the development of world cinema. The unique characteristics of Russian films have been succeeded and developed by works of masters such as Kalatozov, Tarkovsky, Sokurov. In this lecture, we will explore the major works and theories of Russian art films and further deepen the understanding of Russian society and culture through films.

This course explores the history and culture of Eastern Europe through its major literary works. By reading representative works from Czech Republic, Poland, former Yugoslavia and other Eastern European countries, we analyze how historical experiences such as imperialism, totalitarianism, and regime changes are reflected in literature, and broadly examine issues of human existence, identity, history and memory.

 본 강의에서는 슬라브 비교역사언어학적 관점에서 슬라브어들의 음운, 형태, 통사 체계 발달 과정에 대한 통시적 이해를 추구한다. 학기 전반부에는 슬라브 조어로부터 고대, 중세를 거쳐 현대에 이르기까지 동슬라브어, 서슬라브어, 남슬라브어로 분화되는 과정을 주요 음운적, 형태적, 통사적 변화를 중심으로 살펴본다. 중간시험 이후에는 러시아어 등 동슬라브어에 집중하여 키예프 시대부터 단일한 문학어/규범어가 형성되는 과정을 다룬다. 문자 문명의 발달과 문학어 발전을 키릴 알파벳 발명, 고대교회슬라브어 확립, 교회슬라브어와 러시아어, 외국어간의 상호작용을 중심으로 살펴보고, 소비에트 혁명 이후의 언어변화를 사회언어학적 관점에서 이해한다.  

This course aims to pursue a diachronic understanding of the development of phonological, morphological, and syntactic systems of Slavic languages from the perspective of comparative Slavic historical linguistics. During the first half of the semester, the course provides lectures on how apparent exceptions and oddities in modern Slavic languages can be clarified as principled phenomena from a historical perspective through understanding historical changes and developments in phonology, morphology, and syntax from the Proto-Slavic to Modern period. The second half of the course explores the developmental process of the Russian literary language. The course addresses historical events such as the creation of the Cyrillic alphabet, the establishment of Old Church Slavonic, and the interaction of distinct factors such as Church Slavonic, Russian colloquial speech, and foreign languages in the development of a unified literary language.

This course aims to enhance students’ linguistic sensitivity and communicative competence in Russian through the dramatization of Russian plays, ultimately deepening their understanding of Russian performing arts. By assuming roles in staged performances, students not only develop an intuitive grasp of the Russian language but also engage in creative interpretation and analysis of representative dramatic works. Through embodying their characters, students will cultivate self-expression and collaborative creativity, experiencing the joy and fulfillment of artistic creation. Throughout the process—from text interpretation and adaptation to staging and group reflection—students gain an understanding of the aesthetics and distinctive quality of Russian theater through physical practice rather than theory, while fostering cooperation, expressiveness, communication skills, and interpretive insight.

20세기 초반, 체홉이후의 문학에서부터 신사실주의, 상징주의 등의 모더니즘 문학 운동과 소비에트의 성립과 동시에 프롤레타리아문학을 일컫는 사회주의적 사실주의의 소비에트문학을 다루게 된다. 여기에서는 고리끼, 보리스 빠스쩨르나끄, 솔제니찐 등 세계적으로 유명한 작가들의 작품을 다루어 그들의 사상적, 미학적 세계를 다루게 된다.

Within early 20th century literature, following Chekhov up to literary movements such as neo-realism, symbolism and modernism, and coupled with the establishment of the Soviet Union, there emerged Soviet literature of Social Realism: the so called literature of proletariats. The students will examine this movement and study the representative  authors' works as well as their thoughts and aesthetics. Class readings will include works by world famous authors such as Gorky, Pasternak, and Solzhenitsyn.

이 교과목은 초급러시아어 과정에서 중급러시아어 과정으로 진입하는 학생들이 러시아어를 의사소통의 언어로 인지하고 다양한 주제의 회화를 구사할 수 있도록 하는 것을 목표로 삼는다. 우선 학생들은 초급러시아어 학습 과정에서 습득한 문법 및 어휘들을 활용하여 회화를 구성하는 방법을 익힌다. 이후 학생들은 실생활의 다양한 상황에 맞춰 확장된 필수 어휘와 표현을 학습하고, 다시 이를 활용하여 회화를 구성하도록 연습한다. 특히 수업을 담당하는 원어민 교수는 학생들이 정확한 발음과 억양을 익혀 살아있는 러시아어회화를 배우도록 돕는다. 수업은 학생들이 학습내용을 구어적으로 완전하게 습득할 수 있도록 ‘러시아어로 질문하기와 말하기’, ‘팀별로 대화 구성하기’ 등 회화 연습에 충분한 시간을 할애한다. 이러한 과정을 통해 학생들은 좀 더 자유롭게 러시아어로 의사소통할 수 있는 능력을 함양하게 될 것이다.  

This course aims to help students transitioning from the elementary to the intermediate level recognize Russian as a means of communication and develop the ability to engage in conversations on a variety of topics. First, students will learn how to construct dialogues by utilizing the grammar and vocabulary acquired in the elementary Russian course, then expand their essential vocabulary and expressions for a range of real-life situations and practice applying them in conversation.
In particular, the native-speaking instructor will assist students in acquiring accurate pronunciation and intonation to learn authentic, spoken Russian. The class will dedicate ample time to conversation-based activities such as “asking and answering questions in Russian” and “creating dialogues in teams,” enabling students to fully internalize the material in a spoken form. By the end of the course, students will be able to communicate more freely and confidently in Russian.

본 교과목은 18세기부터 21세기까지 러시아를 비롯한 유라시아 도시들의 역사적 변천과 문화적 형성을 탐구한다. 권력, 이데올로기, 사회적 갈등, 문화적 정체성이 교차하는 복합적 장소로서의 도시공간은 단순한 물리적 환경을 넘어 역사적 기억과 집단적 경험이 축적되고 재해석되는 살아있는 텍스트로 작용한다는 점을 이해하며, 도시학·건축학·문화학·역사학을 아우르는 학제 간 접근을 통해 문학, 영화, 도시 계획, 건축물, 공공예술을 비판적으로 고찰한다. 학생들은 페테르부르크와 모스크바를 중심으로 제국 변경 도시, 소비에트 신도시, 중앙아시아와 캅카스 지역의 포스트소비에트 도시 등을 비교 고찰하고, 또한 젠더, 계층, 소수자, 기억의 정치 등 현대 도시의 사회문화적 쟁점을 탐구하여, PBL 조별 프로젝트를 통해 실질적 문제해결 방안을 모색한다. 궁극적으로 유라시아 도시에 대한 이해를 넘어 문화를 통한 지속가능한 도시 발전의 보편적 통찰을 제공한다.

This course explores the historical transformation and cultural formation of Eurasian cities, with an emphasis on the Russian cities from the 18th to the 21st century. Students will understand urban space as a complex site where power relations, ideology, social conflict, and cultural identity intersect. The course employs an interdisciplinary approach encompassing urban studies, architecture, cultural studies, and history, critically examining literature, film, urban planning, architecture, and public art. Students will examine diverse urban types, focusing on St. Petersburg and Moscow while including imperial frontier cities, Soviet new towns, and post-Soviet cities in Central Asia and the Caucasus. The course also explores socio-cultural issues facing contemporary cities, such as gender, class, minorities, and the politics of memory. Through PBL group projects, students will seek solutions to practical urban problems. Ultimately, this course aims to provide universal insights into sustainable urban development through culture, extending beyond an in-depth understanding of Russian and Eurasian cities.

By combining traditional literary research methods, such as close reading, with digital technologies and data analysis, students will develop a deeper and more multifaceted understanding of Russian literature. They will learn the core concepts of digital humanities and explore various digital text analysis methods, applying them to Russian texts using analysis and visualization software, as well as AI programs. Through a semester-long group project, students will complete the entire process from work selection to text preprocessing, analysis, interpretation, visualization, and presentation, thereby cultivating practical competencies in digital humanities research and collaborative skills in digital environments.

This course is designed for junior students who are taking analysis of Russian Literature for the first time. It introduces students to basic concepts of Literary Theory. It will provide perspectives on the major questions: what is literature, how is it produced, how can it be understood, and what is its purpose? Not to study on literary theory itself, but to introduce basic categories for the analysis of literary texts, that is the purpose of this course.

<러시아어 음성학: 발음과 억양> 과목의 목표는 러시아어 분절음과 억양 구조를 이해하고 실험음성학 분석을 통해 원어민의 발음과 한국어 학습자의 발음을 비교, 분석하는 것이다. 학습자는 원어민 발음, 억양과 차이를 이해하고 음성분석 프로그램인 프라트(Praat)를 이용하여 학습자 스스로 발음과 억양을 교정하는 능력을 배양한다. 

The goal of the course <Russian Phonetics: Pronunciation and Intonation> is to understand the segmental sounds and intonation structures of Russian and to compare and analyze the pronunciation of native speakers with that of Korean learners through experimental phonetic analysis. Students will develop the ability to understand the differences in pronunciation and intonation between native speakers and themselves and to correct their pronunciation and intonation independently using the phonetic analysis software Praat.

본 강좌는 중급러시아어의 문법과 어휘 수준을 지닌 학생을 대상으로 원어민 교수가 통사론과 어휘론을 집중적으로 강의하여, 고급수준의 듣기, 말하기, 쓰기, 읽기 능력을 함양하는 통합적 러시아어 교육을 목표로 한다. 수준 높은 구문과 어휘, 특히 혼동되는 어휘들의 변별적 의미에 대한 이해도를 높여 학생들이 고급 수준의 독해, 작문 실력을 갖추도록 하며, 구문 유형을 반복학습하고 에세이 작성 등의 과제를 수행하도록 하여 학생들의 러시아어 구사 능력을 향상시킨다. 특히 원어민 교수가 러시아어로 수업을 진행하는 만큼 학생들의 청취 및 말하기 능력의 향상 역시 기대할 수 있다. 

This course is for students with intermediate Russian grammar and vocabulary, and aims to provide integrated Russian language education that fosters advanced listening, speaking, writing, and reading skills through intensive lectures on syntax and vocabulary by native-speaking professors. It also aims to enhance students’ understanding of advanced phrases and vocabulary, especially the differential meanings of confusing words, so that they can acquire advanced reading and writing skills. It also improves students’ Russian speaking skills by repeatedly studying phrase types and completing assignments such as essay writing. In particular, since native-speaking professors teach in Russian, students’ listening and speaking skills are also expected to improve.

This course aims to understand the principles of creativity and integration through the key concepts and major works of the Russian avant-garde. The Russian avant-garde refers to the innovative artistic movement that emerged in Russia and the Soviet Union from the 1900s to the 1930s—an experimental current within the broader European avant-garde that developed distinctly Russian characteristics. The course examines the cultural and ideological contexts in which the Russian avant-garde arose and its impact on twentieth-century world art. It also explores its programmatic and utopian nature as expressed in manifestos, exhibitions, and organizational activities, as well as the reasons that led to its sudden decline. Through this study, students will gain insight into the artistic features and individuality of the Russian avant-garde, developing a deeper understanding of the desire for novelty and the creative mechanisms underlying artistic fusion and experimentation.

106.449 러시아시의 이해 (Understanding Russian Poetry)  3-3-0 

본 강좌는 러시아 고전주의, 낭만주의, 사실주의, 상징주의 등을 대표하는 시인들의 작품을 다룸으로써 학생들이 시 분석의 기초과정을 숙지할 수 있게끔 하는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 학생들은 시 감상과 분석을 통해 러시아 시에 독특한 운율구조와 억양법에 익숙해지고 강의를 통해 시에 대한 이론과 분석방법을 체계적으로 익힐 수 있을 것이다. 또한 다양한 각 사조를 대표하는 시인들의 작품에 대한 심도있는 분석을 통해 러시아 문학의 사조별 특징을 정리하는 계기가 될 수 있을 것이다.

This course serves as an introduction to Russian poetry. Reading various poets standing for Russian classicism, romanticism, realism, symbolism, etc, students will learn rhythms, intonations, and other techniques and methodological tools needed for analyzing Russian poetry.

본 교과목은 러시아어의 의미·형태·통사 체계에 대한 기초적 이해를 바탕으로, 러시아어학의 핵심 주제를 인지언어학, 생성문법, 심리언어학 등 주요한 이론 틀에서 설명하고 토의하는 것을 목표로 한다. 러시아어의 구체적인 구조를 살펴볼 뿐 아니라, 언어능력과 언어습득, 언어와 인지, 언어와 문화의 관계 등 폭넓은 관점에서 러시아어의 여러 측면을 조망하도록 구성되어 있다. 학기 말에는 각 수강생이 자신이 선택한 주제를 질적·양적 데이터 분석을 통해 탐구하는 개별 연구 프로젝트를 수행함으로써, 강의에서 배운 이론적 틀을 실제 언어 현상에 적용하고 그 이해를 심화하도록 한다.     

This course examines core topics in Russian linguistics through multiple theoretical frameworks, including cognitive linguistics, generative grammar, and psycholinguistics, building on a foundational understanding of Russian semantics, morphology, and syntax. The course is designed not only to examine specific linguistic structures, but also to explore various aspects of the Russian language from broader perspectives, including language competence and acquisition, the relationship between language and cognition, and the interplay between language and culture. By the end of the semester, each student conducts an individual research project on a topic of their choice, employing both qualitative and quantitative data analysis to apply the theoretical frameworks introduced in the course to actual linguistic data and to develop a deeper understanding of the structure and use of Russian.

106.442 러시아어교과 논리 및 논술 (Logic and Writing in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language) 3-3-0 

이 강좌는 미래 러시아어교사들을 위한 교직과목으로 러시아어로 생각하는 능력과 논술을 효과적으로 지도할 수 있도록 하는 것을 목표로 문화적 차이에 따른 논리적 사고의 차이와 글쓰기에 나타나는 양상을 다각적으로 검토하여 러시아어를 배우는 학생들에게 예비 러시아어교사들이 러시아어와 한국어의 사고와 언어의 차이를 잘 설명하고 지도할 수 있도록 할 것이다. (교직이수자가 아닌 학생이 수강해도 전공선택으로 인정)

This pedagogy course offers prospective Russian teachers an effective methodology of teaching thinking, reasoning and writing techniques in Russian. Differences in logical thinking between Korean and Russian cultural contexts will be thoroughly examined so that future Russian instructors can adequately explain and teach students those differences in thought and language between two languages.

높은 수준의 러시아어 글쓰기를 원하는 수강생들(러시아어 원어민과 원어민 수준의 화자 포함)을 위해 개설된 본 과목은 에세이 쓰기 능력 향상과 어휘 증강에 중점을 두고 있다. 문화, 역사, 경제, 시사 등의 다양한 주제별 에세이 쓰기 연습을 통해 수강생들은 글쓰기 감각을 발달시키고 문법적, 문체적 오류를 교정 받을 수 있게 된다.

This course, designed for students who desire a high level of writing proficiency in Russian language(including native and near-native speakers), is focused on improving essay writing skills and increasing vocabulary. By practicing in essay writing on topics in the areas of culture, history, economics and current events, etc. students can develop their sensitivity to writing and be corrected individual grammatical and stylistic mistakes.

러시아문학의 주요 작가와 작품을 중심으로 수업을 진행한다. 문학텍스트를 바탕으로 이루어지며 텍스트 내적인 장치, 기법, 화법 등이 작가 내재적 문제 및 문학 텍스트 외적인 계열들과 어떤 상관관계를 지니는지 살펴본다.

This course concentrates on important Russian authors and their masterpieces by reading and analyzing their representative works.

M1242.000700 러시아어문학논문쓰기 (Thesis Writing on Subjects of Russian Language and Literature) 3-3-0

본 강좌에서는 졸업예정인 수강생이 노어노문학과의 학사학위 청구 논문심사를 통과할 수 있는 수준 이상의 졸업 논문을 작성하도록 지도한다. 졸업논문을 작성하는 과정에서 수강생이 자신의 학부 기간 내의 학습과정을 환기하고 종합하고 나아가 보다 발전한 지적 결실을 얻을 수 있도록 한다. 수강생이 졸업논문에 적합하며 내용적으로 정합한 주제를 선정하도록 돕고 논리적으로 완성된 형식을 갖출 수 있도록 지도한다. 이 수업을 통해 수강생들은 보다 체계적으로 졸업논문을 완성하게 되며, 수업 종료와 함께 졸업논문 최종본을 제출한다. 

In this course, students who are scheduled to graduate receive guidance in writing a graduation thesis that exceeds the minimum standard required for a bachelor's degree in the Department of Russian Language and Literature. Throughout the writing process, students are encouraged to reflect on and synthesize the knowledge they have acquired during their undergraduate studies, ultimately producing more advanced intellectual work. The course help students select appropriate thesis topics and provides instruction on constructing a logically coherent structure. By the end of the course, students will have systematically completed and submitted the final version of their graduation thesis.
